[ATM] Advice for shipping a 16" mirror

I know some of the basics: place tissue across the reflective surface and tape it in place (with the tape on the sides of the mirror, of course), pack it in a box with packing peanuts, pack the box with packing peanuts in another box. Got some questions on specifics:

1. How large should each of the boxes be?
2. What kind of tissue do I use and who sells it?
3. Can wadded newspaper substitute for packing peanuts?
