[ATM] Ultrathin, round two
OK, the pie plate and the 16 are off getting coated. I have promised to
have them at the Oregon Star Party at the end of August, then they are
available. I gave Mike Lockwood the opportunity to run foucault on the
16. I changed the curve so his data will be different than what Dale
got. The pie plate is going to Dale to further his experience with
weird thin mirrors.
Mark Holm! You seem to have experience in PLOP and cell design. Do you
want the 16 inch next, to work on cell ideas and test them against thin
plate? If not Mark, does anyone else want to step up to the challenge?
I will send the cell I made.
The goal here is results, published here or on your own web page. You
have a high mark to hit, Dale did a great job the first time through and
the full report is on a couple of web sites out there.
The 15.5 is being cleaned up with a different technique and once it is
smooth I will have it available for testing, maybe even coated.
Lets write the book on thin.
