[ATM] I have a 4" circle with no contact?

Hello folks, I've reached the target sagitta, for my 13 inch
mirror .13 , I jumped the gun and used a 5" 10 weight I had to dig out
the sagita, I used a straight chardoal like movement about 6" long and
kept rotating, as the 60 grit would get close to being used up, i would
do a few rotational grinding strokes kinda like what the machines do
tha I've seen films of..

When I switched from 60 to 80 I went back to my regular 13"
tool that I have been using before I used the 5" weight, I knwe that I
would have to keep working it TOT and MOT to maaintain the sagitta but
to also bring the tool to the same shape that was now in the glass.
Also my first night back to class I was shown how fast I'm going and I
had left some HUGE pits (since at the time I tought I was at the
sagitta , which I was way wrong on I kept changing grits until I got to
600).

Today I kept working at it knowing the tool still needs more to
go to match the curvature on the mirror, and cheking the pits on the
glass, I am at 120 grit but see I have a 4" circle looking thru the
glass on top of the tool, as I am grinding doing the normal stroke,
going over the edge about 1.5 to 2 " over back and forth I see that the
grit and water in this "vortex" is just there doing nothing.

What should I do at this point?

when I started this morning the sun image was 1" at 72" away from the
wall, as I have worked it, I managed to go back to 90" and as I kept at
it trying to make better contack I'm somewhere in bewteen.

As I did washing and inspections, I noticed this same 4" circle
in the mirror seems rougher, so I did a few chardoal strokes on the
edge to get at the circle and wear down the edge at the same time.

I realize the smart thing is to wait til next class, but i do not
want to stop, I will deal with my mistakes later ;) keeps me from
thinking about work, and I am excersising

thank you guys for your time
