Re: [ATM] Need source for large Timing Belt
Hi Rod,
Try one of the larger "hobby shops" in your area, there was one in Bundaberg
QLD. (the nearest large town to me) that carried it on reels and you just
bought as many inches (yes I know weird, but there you go) as you needed.
Pity the place went belly up when the mall it was in did a
redevelopment.....
Cheers, Thomas.

Subject: [ATM] Need source for large Timing Belt
I have a flex rocker mounted 12 inch newt and have been
considering motorising it with Mel's stepper system. I would
like to try using timing belts as part of the gearing as Dan
Gray describes here:
http://www.siderealtechnology.com/28inch
Where would I find a large timing belt like the one used for the
azimuth gear? The ones I have seen for cars are much smaller.
Thanks,
