[ATM] at what stage do I start foucault testing?

          Sorry if this makes it twice to you, my emails and posts seem
to be disappearing. I could sware I asked this here and on atm free
groups but can not find it. could be I'm having a senior moment or
yahoo.

         At what stage do you start testing the mirror surface, besides
the feeler gauge fashion and start using a foucaoult tester?

       I just tried and can not see much, the room is very dimly lit,
when I put on my red gogles and shine a laser at it it reflects back on
the board of the foucault tester, I tried it with a flashlight and had
poor results
