Re: [ATM] motor drive question

Hello,

I would recommend finding a "kit" stepper motor driver circuit based on
the 555 timer. You can do a web search to find the formulas to modify
the 555 circuit to drive the stepper at 1 rpm. A unipolar stepper can be
found at many surplus dealers. This is what worked for me.

Jarvis,

That's what I suspected. I timed it out roughly last night and it came
out
to 1rmp per 12 minutes. I wasn't sure if I could get an appropriate gear
to
step it up. How difficult are 1rmp motors to come by? Does anyone know
of
any common sources?

Eric
