[ATM] Mirror F/L

Hello to all,
well, once again I look to the collective minds of this board for some help 
on a question.  I have ground down by hand 2 - 12" mirrors.  went through 
the #80 down to f/5.3.  I have now gone through the 120 grit, used a sper on 
it and magnifying glass, looks great.  Now the question,   what is the best 
way to make sure and keep these both as close as possible?  can I wet the 
mirrors and run a ronchi test on it? or is that out due to the non polished 
aspect of the mirror.  any input would be wonderful.
