Re: [ATM] which Collimination tools?



I use a laser to point the optical axis of the eyepiece at the center of the
primary, by manupulating the secondary or/and the focuser and I use
callibrated cheshire to point the optial axis of the primary at the focal
point, by turning the primary's collimation bolts. Just a couple of minutes
work in the field and very accurate.

Before I had a laser I used a sight tube to point the optical axis of the
eyepiece at the center of the mirror, but  a laser works easier.

If the secondary is not centered well enough in the focuser, this has to be
done first (using a sight tube), but mine is always in the right place,
because I check it at home sometimes.
