RE: [ATM] Here's a new one

Water marks as you describe can also happen if the humidity is high in the
region and if the coating is performed by an inexperienced individual. The
mirror needs to be warmer than the chamber to prevent condensation during
pump down.

Subject: [ATM] Here's a new one

Hi,
In April, I had a 10 " plate glass mirror coated, by someone local.
I was on route to a vacation (no freight or handling).
Initially, I noticed water marks showing through the Aluminium but figured
that was my luck.
Weeks later, however, dozens of 1 mm and smaller bubbles appeared across one
half
of the surface as though oil had sprayed on it (prior?) to vapourization.:(
The bubbles will collapse or tear off if rubbed.

Has anyone had a similar experience? or could it be something else?

regards,
KR
