Michael,
I've been interrupted before and almost had my mirror
and lap frozen togehter. After that, no interruptions
for at least 10-15 minutes until the session is
completed on the kitchen timer. Also, I was under the
assumption that symmetry was important in the final
stages of figuring so as not to polish more in some
places and not enough in others when you're only going
for a few minutes. Stopping would then tend to cause
you to loose where you're at and potentially resulting
in unevenness.
