[ATM] pitch&strehl.

Hi all,
 
1.Is there a strehl ratio for the complete optical-system,,
for the end result that hits the eyepiece,,if so whats the 
equation?
 
2.Im about to re-order my supply of pitch,,
and Im giving thought to that"new-synthetic stuff",
any helpful comments??
 
3.the dividing-line as far as "cost-per-inch" seems to
be at 12.5inches,,,, past that, and the price almost
doubles for blanks.,,,,,,so,,,,,I think Im going to stop
at 12.5", and reason to myself that, economically,
I will get more "bang-for the buck" with the 12.5incher,
than, jumping to a 16".plus my personal decission to
NEVER make an optic faster than F/6, will satisfy
my own demands for the scope within reason.
 
any thoughts on the differance in viewing pleasure,
vs/cost.,,,,
 comments, helps, various inuendoes?????
