1/800th wavefront error would be rather perfect. However, I'd consider that
1/8th wavefront error would be down where you can miss some of the perfect
moments available on good nights. I'd more consider that a 1/10th wavefront
mirror to be minimal for a decent quality mirror and that a 1/20th wavefront
error mirror to be the achievable for the superior mirror maker for a scope.
Just because you aren't able to see that well doesn't mean that you don't
have any use for such a mirror. You may only see to that quality once in
your lifetime but that will be enough for me to feel that the time spent
making that mirror would be worth it.
