Re: [ATM] Gimbaled Secondary mirror (report)

If there's something constructive here, I fail to see it.

Our optician knows our level of knowledge and will sometime place things in
laymen terms until after a more cogent analysis, ask more detailed
questions.

We have no intention of moving the mirror while in active mode to the angles
he modeled. Nor as I found out today do I need to move the secondary 50mm
for the Echelle Spectrometer and STL-1001E, only 18mm.
We have future plans for a fully adaptive secondary with wavefront detector,
but right now we are taking baby steps or as I say; "one mess at a time".

I also see nothing has change in the last 20 years online (atm, sci.astro.*)
therefore; I'll continue to ask my questions in the professional community.

I never assume that I know it all, and I'm not afraid of criticism when
properly delivered and explained. I'm also not afraid of venturing into area
where I don't have the expertise such as optics. I was hoping to find some
amateur online that had ventured into this area hence, the reason I posted
here in the first place.

You make fun of what I'm attempting, but there are amateur groups such as
mine that are pushing the envelop of professional optics and because of the
types responses online, don't bother relaying what they learn.

>Double the degree angles to get the FOV and yeppie, you're right about
that!
