But I have to "partially-Disagree", with utmost respect for your answer!

Yes,,true "when Possible",,,,but the Weather has its own schedule,,

with my first telescope, I died to get out and star test-it,,,but a suitable

night didn't show-up for 4-weeks!! [A night I consider acceptable for testing

,,which is a differ ant than an acceptable observing night] for me IMHO.]

if I waited that long to star test all my optics,,,  would get no scopes built,,

I would rather "Bench-test my optics"  For my personal satisfaction [ I love

to bench-test,, it's a whole hobby in it's self for me] until an acceptable

 -> Test Night <-  becomes available.,,   In other words "The Sky must be 

Calm and Clear Enough" to Permit the Test to show the optics in their true nature.

MY opinion and my opinion Only !! Take-it as you wish.
