[ATM] Question about "Null-testing"

Hi Everyone;
                              this is my first post, so I will introduce myself;
I'm 46, Live in Fort Worth,TX,USA, I love to build Telescopes[anyone surprised], I have
studied, built telescopes[of and on] since I was 12, I LOVE IT!, but due to Family life
at the age of 21, that came to a halt! ,Now after a 15 year absence, I now have the time,
wisdom, and patience, to return to the "craft" I loved and missed.

Ive studied the archives now for 2-weeks, Alot! has changed since I left
in the early 80's,WOW!!,,The Knowledge has expanded a hundred-fold!

I would also like to thank all the Knowledge-able people on this list that
help the People just-getting started in this great hobby of ours,, wish this
kind of help was available when I got started,,,U guys are great!!

Now to my Question;

I'm finishing-up an 8-inch f/6 mirror,  Ive got about 6-more hours left to-go
before my laser-light says I'm done, My main Test tool's that I used back
in the 80's are "Foucault & blinking-pin & Ronchi Tests". Now I would like
to add the "RossNull" test to my Repertoire. I have gathered plenty of Info
on how to proceed with the test,, but my Question is;;

                   ----Please bear with this Scenario-----

Is-not a Null test Considered a Qualitative test?,,
If so, does not the null-lens if say"Guaranteed 20th wave on the wave-front"
or better with all other aberration's being equal in quality,,,
Does-not the worker have the right to say that he [If he has the skill] has
in his hands a "Qualitative"-optic" of better than 20th wave?

Thanks to-all,,and any help in this theory of mine will Be appreciated!!
