Thanks Gary for the suggestion. I would of course made a help/tutorial
on how to use the software to the best of my abilities but you made me
think of adding something that would go beyond that and explain the
theory behind the tests and what to look for visually. I also appreciate
the comment about priceing and am thinking I will go with a donation
type of system, where the software is free and users can donate funds if
they so choose to help its progress.

Suggestions? Sure. When designing the package, consider the
least common denominator of knowledge possessed by your
target user. Don't assume anything. Provide levels of help so
that someone experienced and knowledgeable can quickly find
out how to do something, and others can get as much as they
may need.
Charging is up to you, but when I consider what's already
available free - including unrelated things like Cartes, I
think you should consider this a labor of love, or make it so
good we'll gladly pay.
