I can't speak for others, but I see several members of this list
providing much more complex software for things like Ronchi Testing, Six
Tests, Robo Foucault (IIRC), Vac pan calculations for schmidt
correctors, secondary sizing, motorised dobsonian drivers and schematics
for numerous ATM electronics projects. Many of which also provide the
source code in messydos, whindoze flavours, gnu C, and some Mac C
compilers. All for the cost of visiting a FREE website with no pop ups
or other adverts.
Yet you propose a relatively simple piece of software that offers
nothing that isn't already present in ATM shareware or could be cooked
up in under five minutes with Excel, ask the list to provide a
requirements list for software developement, and then want to know how
much you should charge.
I think you should charge at least two orders of magnitude more than
what you are paying monthly to be a member of the list. I also think you
should pay all potential contributors (no matter how small the offered
contribution) an honourarium of $500USD.
But these are just my thoughts.
