Re: [ATM] Dob/quatorial Truss?



The bearings were "donated" by one of our members that works at a 
fabriction company.  The shafts are 1-3/4 " and the original bearings 
just slide over the shafts and were held onto the castings by 3 set 
screws.  I made up new endpieces that would hold the bearings and then 
machined the castings so I could press fit the new parts in and then 
pinned and loctited everything together.   If I remember correctly the 
mount was made in Arizona sometime in the 60's or 70's, I lost the 
sticker that was on it so I am not sure but it wa not a meade, unless it 
had been rebadged by the seller.  I can get some pictures up later if
