A couple of years ago I needed to estimate the value of a finished
Zerodur mirror 32" dia 4" thick. The mirror lab in Arizona said
bulk Zerodur cost $7 per cubic inch..making the 32" worth about
$28,500 even it was broken into pieces..;)

At $5000 for a similar volume 27" it's a *bargain*.
