[ATM] Mirror movement in a Newton gives bad guiding ?
Hi folks !
Is it possible to overcome the problems when imaging
with a Newton and guiding with a piggybacked refractor
using a CCD-guider ?
There should be problems with mirror movement on the Newton
versus steady guiding with the refractor.
It must be very difficult tp get pinpoint stars !
Assume that the mount works well.
Can you "lock" the mirror slightly to prevent
movement ? Then there would be mirror deformation of course
but woould it visible in the images ?
Do you have experience on longer exposures with a
Newton and a piggybacked guidescope so please let me
know how I can avoid these problems ?
