I got some nice barbell weights at walmart. smooth painted cast iron,
round edges with a hole just over 1". I mainly use them on the mirror
grinder but I will probably have to use one or two to rebalance my scope
after I rebuilt it. They were quite cheap as well, with no chance of
heavy metal poisoning :-) Unless you start dropping them on your toes :-)
