  Can't decide between a Double Gauss and a Cooke Triplet?;-:

This 600 mm f.l. f/7.5, was an attempt to push a Double Gauss design
down to 365 nm. The correction off-axis is not complete across the band,
but is still reasonable enough for 35 mm format (not good enough for
6x7 format, as the Strehl ratio drops to 0.96 at the edge of the 35 mm
field).  The layout is relatively compact, contained in a 90 by 110 mm
cylinder, so I think maybe I'm running out of space to do much more
correction  -- yes??
