[ATM] what to do next

Hello

I'm the one with the 20" thin mirror (1" thick) F5 telescope, but I'm in the process of making the mirror (I'm polishing the mirror (the other night I left the lap out and it got really sandy so I'v finally got the sand out of the lap and the scratches out of the mirror))

I had ordered more CEO from Micro Grit (some #3 which is fast and some #5 which is slow). So I'm going to use the #3 first like you usually would to get the bad stuff out and then go to #5 later and maybe some Red Rouge.

I like red rouge, but it's messy.

So now I need to know where to drill the hole for the eyepiece focuser to go into at the secondary end (of the tube), and how far in to make the mirror with the mirror cell go into
the rear end of the tube.

I made a mirror mount or cell already out of 3/4" plywood. It looks like this:

this would be a curved section that is to match the curve of the tube
                    ____/__
                   / \ mirror \ | |
                  / \ \ |_|
                 / \ | |
                \ / |_|
                  \ ------------/ | |

It is streatched vertically in this drawing a little than in real life. The 3 sides that are round are spaced 120 degrees apart. And then the sides in between are straight lines.

Then at 120 degree intervals I have drilled holes and made provisions for carriage bolts. (5/8") These allow you to collimate the mirror.
