[ATM] Mirror Edge Supports

Dear Nils Olof:
You convinced me long ago that the traditional sling was
not the way to
support the edge of a mirror. I'm going to try your three
part sling. I
think it's a great idea. In the design you posted yesterday,
you collimate
the sample cell at two of the bar centers. From a discussion
that was going
on the ATM page several months ago, I got the impression
that it wasn't a
good idea to use any of the support cell parts as
collimation points but
rather to use a collimation system that moves the
cell as a whole. If you
moved the collimation points to the frame of your
cell, wouldn't you
eliminate a variable that could have a (probably tiny)
effect on the edge
supports?
