Powder coating will add several thousandths to the tube diameter. For schemes that clamp the tubes, you may need to take that into account. Powder coating adds ~0.015" thickness to flat steel panels that I use, but near the edges it can be much thicker, ~0.030" or more -- I wonder if tube ends would show similar effects. Bill T.
