Then what are we doing here?  I thought that you were wanting to make a tool
for a mirror?  If you're making tools from a wood form then you may want to
paint the wood form to allow it to stay in better shape.  Either that or
make the forms from plaster.
I would more expect to do a tool from the mirror as that means that the tool
is roughly mated to the ROC of the glass and you won't need too much work to
get the tiles formed to the surface of the mirror.
