ATM The evening sun

Hi All,
Did anyone is the Atlanta, Ga. area or south east in general see the sun low
in
the evening sky yesterday?  What an unexpected treat.  The sun looked
slightly
 larger than a  US quarter. A giant pinkish orange ball. Just awesome.  I
thought
I was looking at a red giant may 200 million to 250 million miles away in
another
solar system. One rarely witnesses a site like that except in the southwest.
