Re: ATM Re: How to make accurate holes with hand drill?

I will drill one hole and then finish it up and then do the rest of the
holed needed with the screw in the one hole.
Process of drilling and tapping a hole is to:
1) Tap drill the entire hole through the two parts.
2) Tap the tapped part of the hole.
3) Clearance drill the removable part of the hole.
And for more holes in the part:
4) Screw the parts together with the one screw and make tight.
5) Tap drill another hole and insert a pin (the shank of another drill) so
that things don't move.
6) Tap drill the rest of the holes.
7) Follow with steps 2 and 3 on those holes.
This makes a set of holes which are all perfectly aligned each and every
time that the two parts don't move while drilling.
Just a little machining tip for freehand machining.
