Re: tools for ATM'ing
Places like a tool shop or the Home Depot/Lowes are the places to find
tools. If you have a Harbor Freight (chinese outlet tools) then you will
find all kinds of cheap stuff. The other thing is to do the garage/estate
sales and you will be supprised at what pops up. My router was $25 and has
a 8 pc. set of bits for it. Got an 8" table saw for the back pain of
picking it up - it is a Craftsman cast iron one.
My supply of needed tools is:
10" Table saw - $120 and $99 on sale at HF
Belt sander $25-$50
Router $25-$75
Planes and scrapers of several sizes.
I also suggest that you watch some of the woodworking shows on PBS, etc.,
especially The Woodwright Shop, for the techniques on how to use woodworking
tools. The Woodwright Shop is especially instructive as the guy actually
shows how to use handtools in making all kinds of things, especially the use
of chisels and planes.
