ATM 12volt DC to AC convertor again.

Hi i have asked this question several weeks ago several night ago while
crusing on the web i see something that might help me i wonder if any of you
can help me too.
I'm looking for a 12 dc to 12 V AC for my Byers Camtrack . The Byers
Camtrack Has a 12V AC Synchronous Motor .
I saw ads on Internet Telescope Exchange run by Bill Burnnet showing a
Parallax series 150 GEM that run on 120 Synchronous AC motor. and on the
accesorry it show a 12 volt dc to AC 120volts ac adaptor.
I wonder if the 12 DC to 120vAC adaptor form PARALLAX SERIES 150 GEM will
work on my Byers Camtrak. Obviously i need to get a small power transformer
to lower the 120v to 12 volts DC.

The reason i asked is that currently i have a regular 12volt to
120volt ac convertor that i bought from Auto part store. I do not know if the
convertor put out 6o hz or not. Even if it does i would think that it must not
be a sine wave but rather a square wave. I wonder if that would affect the
synchronous motor.
I should have run some test to see how my cam trak run first with
regural off the wall 120volt --> 12 volt dc and 12volt dc --> 120volt ac
--> 12dc  But i haven't got the time yet.
So if the above mention 12dc to 120volt ac from Parallax that is made
for theoir 120volt ac synchronous motor will work. I should just buy it from
them since it is actually cheaper than the auto parts convertor.

 Thanks for the help.
