Molten Aluminum can be pretty nasty.  I have a friend that worked as a
welder at a local aluminum plant.  One day, one of the trucks that
carries the pots of molten aluminum around the plant floor dumped on a
concrete floor.  His co-workers bolted for the door and ran as fast as
they could to get away from the building, fearing the explosion. 
Luckily, it didn't happen, but they were clearly aware of the
possibility.  Also, for those that have never heard of it, the Aluminum
Water reaction, where molten aluminum comes in contact with liquid
water, has more explosive power than and equivalent weight of TNT!
