First thing that comes to mind would be a pinched optic. Next, check the obivious, a broken eyepiece ( try at least two eyepieces ). Next, have the optics been removed recently for cleaning ? If so were they placed properly back in their cells ? Check the optical alignment. Beyond this one really has to be there. Hope this was of some help, Joe Castoro
