Re: [ATM] International Space Station

A pass that goes straight overhead (90 degrees elevation) takes 8 minutes
from horizon to horizon, a little less for lower elevation passes. I have
had some luck seeing it through my 4" and 80 mm refractors. I can see solar
panels and modules. The solar panels are big. You can see them in larger
binoculars. They look like big boxes flying side by side. It is easier to
find the station in a refractor. I keep both eyes open so I can sight along
the tube as I try to get it in the telescope.

Vikram,

ISS is visible with naked eye.
It is very fast. Observation times are in minutes.
It must be very dificult to track it with scope.

This is video: http://media.putfile.com/ISS made by LX200 telescope.
