This URL presents drivers that enable your laptop running TheSkySix
software to connect to practically any commercial 'goto' telescope.
Perhaps I have not clearly defined my particular problem. I have
programmed an HC12 microprocessor in assembly language to control my
home built telescope and track the earth's rotation. All of the
variables such as Az, Alt, Ra, Dec, encoder counts, etc., that I assume
would be required by TheSkySix are available. What I need now is how to
structure a data stream to the RS-232 serial port to satisfy TheSkySix
software on my laptop.
I thought Astronomy Control Language (ACL) might perhaps define that
data stream. The ASCOM site also has downloads of "templates" for
drivers for a wide variety of commercial astronomy equipment and
guidelines (standards) for developing software but I could not recognize
from their considerable offerings what I need.
I suppose it might be possible to disassemble one of the standard
drivers and thereby figure out the data stream. However, I'm lacking the
tools and skills in Microsoft Windows software, so that's out.
