Re: [ATM] Silvering Mirrors

Russell,
This and your first post suggest that you don't have much experience with
silvered mirrors. We silvered most of the mirrors in mirror making classes I
taught. With a Peacock kit it was fast, easy and instructive. I used one a
few nights ago silvered 4 years ago. Perfect condition with a slight golden
tint. Have fun- give it a try.

Reply to Dominic, I think all on the list know you, and I always admired
your middle name, Luc,
Your statement on the list is so true for the silvering of "optic's" But
for the novice and his first mirror, Use aluminum by a coating company of
reputation. If not available, silver the surface, and silver it again, and
again, and then send it off to get ALUMINIZED>>> Russ
