[ATM] draper machine

hi all I am making a machine for grinding and polishing mirror I have the turntable on thruss 4"bearings and the shaft that is joined to the turntable {16"}with a circular plate is at centre how much error is allowed that is if the shaft is not at centre and how much error in bearing is allowed like when i see the turntable from side the gap between table and turntable varies when turntable revolves we call it dug ...........and the plate not attached in centre is play so how much dug or play is allowed ..................I have droped the idea of using any speed control drive and using a 1/4 hp 1420 rpm single phase motor .........the bearing i took is 2nd hand and is cause for the dug variation is gap from side may be if the dug is ok then i wont buy a new one and attach a rubber sheet on the turntable .............the turntable is ply is it ok?or should be a steel or metal? what is the parameters of an ideal machine what are the fundamentals..........thanking shyam india
