Re: [ATM] soldering aluminum - welding equipment

Lincon makes a nice wire feed welder that accepts an aluminum welding
feeder. The welder is about $550 and another $150 for the Aluminum welder.
This welder can pretty much do anything most people would ever need, whether
building telescopes,. restoring old cars, or where ever your interests take
you.

Knowing what I know now, I would not hesitate to invest in tools for my
life time. $700 for this welder invested over 20 years is about $3 per
month, CHEAP!!! When I have new employees (employees who expect to have
a 20-30 year career) my best advice to them, is not about the job and
career, but what I tell them; "Purchase a major power tool every year".
Those who have followed this advice have frequently come back to thank me
for the advice.
