My suggestion would be for you to do as one of my friends has done.
His stand can be tilted and was built (on wheels) to be the same height
as his machine. When he is ready to test he removes any retainers from
the machine and slides the mirror onto the test stand. The edge supports
are then locked in place along with retainer on the top just in case.
The stand is then wheeled over to his test station where the surface is
then rotated from horizontal to vertical for testing.
