Subject: [ATM] Bevel question
Dumb question. Most of the things that I have read suggest a 1/8"
bevel. Is this 1/8" the reduction in radius or the hypotenuse? The object
of abuse is a 10" quartz blank.
Dave
Just put a measuring tape to it and measure the physical width. Between
1/16-3/16" is sufficient. It can be good to leave less and then bevel later
if you get a bad TDE you want some "help" reducing. Just don't use it as an
excuse to make a really wide bevel, or bevel away the entire mirror! ;)
Have fun,
Mitchell
