Re: [ATM] ritchey cretians, fused quartz
Hi Kreig,
Yes, by all means if you look at the web site(still in production) you can
see what my goals are.. quit my job :) but beyond that is to set the new
standard for telescopes... I have been playing around for quite some time on
this, and if you look at meade celestron etc... they charge you my mortgage
for a 2" scope! well exageratted a bit, but my goal is to do two things:
1.) have the best telescopes available at the same prices, but with probably
a 2x aperture compared to current.
2.) change the industry as it stands today.
These are ambitious goals, but its something that i feel must be done. there
is no need to charge 4000 on a 12 inch newt, or cassegrain. no need
whatsoever. and these are mostly made with machines and in my eyes, is
charging Mercedes Benz prices for a 1990 hyandai.
I do have a business set up, I have a few workers (they are the ones to make
the glass). but i am patient, and only want the best for everyone, this is
why Francis did not get quartz from me... it wasn't good enough for me, so
it will not be good enough for you.
The monopoly ends, and it will only be better for everyone in the field, I
want everyone to view the stars the way I do, and you do, and can actually
afford to do so..
But.... I do need help with an RC.. should there be conventions or shows
etc, I will be happy to contribute glass, grit, anything you guys could hope
for, but i truly feel lost with this RC...
I found about 4 good articles, but none really show it step by step like the
newtonian web sites....
Cheers!
Mikhail
