Someone raised an important point. If you glue a soft-ish piece of stuff to the back of your mirror, and you use that soft-ish stuff to flex, then how will that affect the fact that at some point you will need to re-aluminize it?
You would need something that doesn't outgas and doesn't expand when you put it into a vacuum. Anybody have any good suggestions here?
