Yeah. That's one reason I don't favor the dob. I now have a good
10" mirror and am about to start work on something bigger -- maybe
14", maybe 16" -- but haven't decided on what the final scope(s) will
look like. Probably truss tubes, on an equatorial fork ... not sure.
But in any case I dislike having to keep nudging a scope to keep an
object in view. It's a pain even at the lower powers. SWMBO, bless
her, gave me a clock drive for my small refractor this Christmas. It
makes a huge difference in my enjoyment of the sky.
