The thing to remember here is that if you want a light bucket
scope, there's things that you can get away from without hurting
the real world performance of the scope..  Poor mirror cells are
relatively unimportant whenb the scope is only used at low powers
as the light will still be collected to a point better than you
can see.  It's when you're trying to see something at 700 power
that the size of the Airy Disk gets to be large enough so that
you want the light to all fall into that disk size.
Sloppy mirror cells do work, and sometimes work well, but the
correct supporting of the mirror will improve that performance at
the high powers that a scope can be usable at.  I'll also note
that high powers also means that you need to drive the scope
across the sky rather than the "traditional" method of grabbing
the end of the tube and shoving it to where you want it to b -
The sky is just moving too fast across the sky to have an object
stay in view of the EP for more than a few seconds at 700 power.
