Re: [ATM] Microwaves and craziness
That's an easy one to test for a middle school student who wants a science fair experiment. Preferably, the experiment should be double-blinded.
But, of course, if the results don't turn out the way that the quack - sorry, chiropractor - predicted, then he could say something like "some of the water molecules in sample XXX had originally been in the urine of a very (take your pick: evil person / good person) [or had had some good/evil chemical associated with them] and had later made their way through the sewage system then to the local river and then to the ocean and then had been evaporated and come down as rain and been part of the sample, so that's why it didn't work out the way I expected."
After all, after a whole bunch of successive 100X dilutions, there will not be a single molecule of the original substance in the water - sorry, medicine - that makes up a homeopathic dose.
Boy, is this ever off-topic. I will shut up now. Sorry.

We had a presentation on healthy lifestyles by a local respected
Chiropractor. One thing he mentioned is our lack of understanding of
microwaves in use in our homes. His claim was plants watered with microwaved
water would die, while water heated on a standard stove top would be just
fine. Of course the water was allowed to cool back to room temperature
before the plants were watered.
Crazyness!!!!!
