My daughter recently purchased a pre-generated eight inch f/6 blank from
Newport Glass.

Does anyone know what grit level they pregenerate to, or put in other words,
What size grit should she start with?

I've heard 220 or 320, depending on what you have available. Of course you
need a tool with matching radius. If it's a tile tool 220 is probably best
to get them matched up and in good contact.
