Before you get the coatings, do some careful star testing with a Ronchi grid
on Polaris. I was doing a 16 inch some time ago and the numbers said quit.
But star testing in the scope said not quite finished, still a tad under
corrected. So three more minor sessions later the mirror is sensibly perfect
and very useable at very high power on tough targets like Saturn and Mars.
In side by side the mirror performs better than a 20 inch Obsession. Nuf
said.

     An excellent idea. Another test is always a great idea to confirm your
results and after I build the scope structure this seems like an easy test
to do.
