Who was With?
 
Ellison refers with high regard to a person named With, whose mirrors he
implies were some of the best ever made as of the time of his writing. 
 
He only refers to him as With, no first name. Evidently he lived in the
early 19th century probably in the U.K. maybe Ireland, and obviously did
not have the benefit of the Foucault test to test the figures he produced,
as Ellison states. However working in the dark so to say, he was able to
produce very good mirrors.
 
Does anyone on the list know who With was?
