You can use Al or Brass tubing with it's OD turned down to a
sliding fit in the lens barrel. The length of each tubing spacer
will define the lens separation, and you can chamfer each end to
match the tangent of the lens radius at the point it touches the
lens. You should line the tubing with black flock.
