Hi James,

Suppose the mirror is resting on two rings of support. It is not necessary 
that each ring supports the same weight, so you have more possibilities in 
your calculations.
Suppose the outer ring has 12 points of support, the distance between the 
points is always the same. So each point will take 1/12 of the weight on the 
outer ring.
Three of the 12 points are bolts, they will support 1/12 of the weight on 
the outer ring, just as the other 9 points (which are astatic levers).
