[ATM] Ultra-Thin Edge Support Idea - RE: [atm_free] ULTRA-THIN 30"mirror from Hong Kong

Hi,

I just received this amazing email from the atm_free group. Thank you Wah
for sending this!

What caught my attention was the ring shaped lateral edge support for a 30"
mirror which is only 1" thick. Apparently they managed to prevent
astigmatism using this technique.

I'd like to hear from the masses if this idea has merit for really thin
mirrors?
